College All Stars: The Higher Education Scholarship Program
Hard work pays off—especially in academics. For many students, strong grades are their ticket to getting into the college of their dreams. But what about those who struggle academically or feel left behind?
I had the chance to connect with a representative from Converse’s Community Impact team to discuss how we can reimagine support for high school education in the City of Boston. From that conversation, the idea for the Higher Education Scholarship Program was born—a scholarship initiative with a unique reward: sneakers.
Students from four selected Boston public high schools—Brighton High, East Boston High, Jeremiah E. Burke High, and William McKinley—are invited to apply for a $2,500 scholarship toward college tuition. In addition to the financial support, recipients will also receive a pair of limited edition “Higher Education” Converse Chuck Taylor All-Stars. These shoes serve as a symbol of their determination, academic growth, and commitment to higher education.
These schools were chosen based on need—each has a graduation rate of 67% or lower, with some as low as 36%. This program was created to encourage students to stay focused, improve their grades, and ultimately increase graduation rates, opening more doors to college acceptance and lifelong opportunity.

Website:
I designed this interactive website to give students easy access to everything they need to know about the Higher Education Scholarship Program. The site features a built-in reminder system for important deadlines, detailed program information, direct links to social media updates, and a registration section where students can sign up and apply for the scholarship.
Process Book: This book goes into detail on the idea of this project, the research I gathered, and the creation of the deliverables.
